1. Low-carb, whole-food diet
The low-carb, whole-food diet is okay as a starter for very unhealthy people who want to lose weight, improve health, and lower their risk of disease. Though not a perfect diet, because the primary focus is on low-carbs. Unfortunately, many people do not understand that a low-carb diet is nonsensical and the focus should be on minimizing empty nutrient, processed carbs instead. The ideal weight loss program with the most benefit is a whole food, plant-based diet which includes whole complex carbs, not simple carbs. Get this: plants are carbohydrates. Animal sources are not. When plants are stripped of their nutrients they become unhealthy, inflammatory, disease-causing substances, like meat, dairy, and eggs. The Mediterranean diet is a good diet that has been thoroughly studied. It’s has been said to be particularly effective for heart disease prevention. It emphasizes food that was commonly eaten around the Mediterranean region during the 20th century and earlier.
As such, it includes plenty of vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, whole grains, legumes, dairy products, and extra virgin olive oil. Hence making it not quite as healthy as a whole food, plant-based diet due to its incorporation of fish and the emphasis of olive oil.
Fish is laden with heavy metals, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), and many other chemicals known to cause cancer and neurological disease such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and ALS.
In studies done on the mediterranean diet, it was concluded that olive oil was a key factor in heart disease reduction. But in fact, it was the increased intake of vegetables, including leafy greens, tomatoes, onions, and whole olives. Further studies done by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn proved that the olive oil inclusion is not beneficial for patients who are sensitive to genetic familial cholesterol elevations. For cancer and heart disease concerns, incorporating sea vegetables and algae omega supplements as a replacement is highly recommended.

Consequently, vegans experienced a number of health benefits, including weight loss, improved heart health, and better blood sugar control.
This diet is based on plant food and typically excludes all animal products. It also excludes honey and sugar. Honey is respected as the bees food and white sugar is known to be filtered through animal bone char. Both are taboo.
But this diet still includes processed oil and salt, known causes of inflammatory disease and cancer. This brings us back to the whole food plant-based diet as the healthiest diet in the world.
